Introvert sees: The GazettE

I finally saw the GazettE in LA on Tuesday, April 30 at the Wiltern. I had to travel down there because they were only doing three USA shows – LA, Dallas, and New York. I flew to California in the afternoon and got to my hotel around 3 pm.  Doors were at 7:00 pm, I had VIP, but I also reserved a table because I emailed premium seating asking what time meet and greet was…He told me after the show. He also informed me about how long the lines were so that’s why I got a table. I headed to the venue after visiting Sprinkles Cupcakes – listen I never explore Cali! I got there like 5 mins before 6 pm which if you get table, you basically hang out in lounge where they feed you and have cash bar if you want a drink. Then at 7 pm you can go where the actual concert is.

Since I had VIP – we got first dibs on merch and pit area, so I didn’t need a table but if I didn’t… I would have to wait in the super long line so who knows where I would have ended up. I was around third row in the pit, in front of Aoi. I love all of them, so it was hard to pick which side to be on.  I settled on Aoi and Reita! They started with 9.999 which honestly the perfect opening, then went into falling. They mostly played songs off of Ninth and some classics that any GazettE fan would love. This was my first metal/Visual kei band, I ever saw – honestly one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. They have amazing energy and sound just like albums.  They’re a must see! I also met them after the show, I was such an awkward potato. I could barely speak with them, they were super nice, and videos don’t do them justice. I also made Kai laugh! I love his laugh so hearing it in person was everything! I also talked to Uruha the most because I had to tell him how much the song he wrote means to me. After I’m still in awe that I saw and met them, it almost doesn’t feel real….like a dream. I’m not over it! Nor will I ever be. I’ll be posting some videos I took from the show to my IG! So be sure to check them out if you’re interested.

Venue: The Wiltern has a good sound system and overall great venue. So, if you’re favorite artist or band is playing there – GO! Friendly staff and it’s a cool art deco building.

Hotel to stay: If you’re looking for hotel in downtown LA – look into Hotel Indigo. Friendly staff and amazing room! It’s an artsy hotel with bars and restaurants. I had the bar food – the restaurant wasn’t open yet. The bar food was amazing – I had sliders and a Caesar salad with a pineapple Moscow mule, honestly the drink was so yummy!

Until next time!
