I just saw Winner last night! It’s their first time touring in U.S. and they started off in Seattle. So like last time I’ll talk about venue and experience. I also took photos because I finally got a new phone.
Venue: The concert was at the Paramount Theatre. I’ve only been there once but it years ago when I saw Fun. The venue has been around the 1920’s, it has been updated but for the most part still has it’s charms from that era. It has beautiful chandeliers all around. It’s a two level venue, last time when I saw Fun, I was on the second level and you can see everything from there. Recently for Winner, I was on first level, since I got a Vip ticket so I close near the stage – below was my view for the show. The sound quality was great, everything sounded amazing. Overall I would recommend this venue so if an artist you like plays there..go!
Experience: I got the Vip ticket, which includes soundcheck. I arrived a little before 4 p.m. which check in was around 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. It was delayed because they were still practicing so waiting in the cold wasn’t ideal. I also thought it was odd that the line was across the street from the venue. While waiting though, a lot of fans passed little goodies like photo cards, stickers and signs – mostly for Hoony since his b-day just passed. I never gotten so much from a fandom before. Inner-circle is really amazing, even though I’m a quiet member, everyone was so nice and lovely. After entering the venue, we waited for a little while, then it was soundcheck, it was surreal because I’ve been watching them on Youtube since forever. So it was kinda like “they’re real” lol you know. They only did a couple songs, I think because of the time crunch because the actual show was at 8 p.m. We only waited for a bout an hour for the actual show to start. I loved their show, they played classics and songs on their everyd4y album. I also like how each member had their own solo time on stage. I low key died when Mino did two songs from his solo album which is everything. I was hoping he would so I was super happy when he did. He was wearing a fur coat (it could be faux), remind me of his performance on SBS Gayodaejun. Basically he took us to the church of Mino and I felt blessed lol. Between changes, they played a movie which was cute and funny. Classic Winner. I also loved their interactions with the crowd. They talked to us during songs and even got close to front row. I’m happy that they’re happy being here. I didn’t want the show to end because I’ve been waiting for this moment since I became a fan, years ago. I would highly recommend seeing them live and of course support their music! You won’t be disappointed! I hope they come back soon!
The only downside was merch area was closed at the end so I didn’t get anything 😦 so I probably have to order from Yg shop online.
